China Eastern has some cheap fares to New Delhi, India during the sought after winter travel season when the weather in India is bearable for Western travellers. These are long flights but they include a possible 9-18 hour long layover in Shanghai where an adventurous traveller might consider taking advantage of China’s 24 hour transit visa and heading into the city for an evening of exploring the wonders of the Paris of the East.
Dates are not easily visible on the Google Flights Calendar but the fares are valid from January to April 2018. Use the following sample links and play around with the dates (wait for them to price out) to get something that works for you. Then book on Expedia or Priceline (wherever you can find the fares to price). And no we don’t earn any commissions on these bookings!
And these are NOT mistake fares – so book away with confidence they won’t be cancelled!

We’ve seen plenty of dates between January and April 2018. Play around with the Google Flight link provided above. You’ll have to be patient as you wait for it to filter and price the China Eastern fares. When you find something that works for you, click through to an OTA (online travel agent) like Expedia, Priceline, Orbitz, etc. to see if it will price. You might have to manually enter your dates again – and we are finding that Expedia is having the most success in pulling up the fares.
