TravelCheapie’s Deal Summary
When it comes to economy class service to Hong Kong from Canada, it’s difficult to beat Cathay Pacific‘s excellent non-stop service out of Vancouver…and it’s even harder to beat it at this price!
Once again, Cathay’s dropped their prices to sub-$700 levels with roundtrip fares from Vancouver to Hong Kong going for just $674 CAD! That is a GREAT deal and comes fairly close to my last post on this route. You might notice that Air Canada has similar pricing for their Vancouver to Hong Kong non-stop flight but they come nowhere close to Cathay’s ratings for service and comfort. When comparing the actual physical aircraft used by these carriers, Cathay Pacific’s Boeing 777 aircraft are considerably more comfortable than Air Canada’s Boeing 777-HD (high density) aircraft which has some of the highest passenger to aircraft size ratios in the world of aviation.
