Since starting TravelCheapie a few months back, life has been exciting but hectic: busy is good as the saying goes.

Trying to balance normal life responsibilities while building and publishing on a website that follows an industry with new developments literally every hour can be difficult in and of itself.  Despite the fact that one of the site’s goals is to be a comprehensive resource for all things travel – it’s really only been me at the helm: designing and coding, writing posts, finding deals, and posting to social media.  All this can easily turn into a full time job – without the benefits of any sort of stable monetary compensation!

So, when I was thrown a curveball offline, I decided I had to take a step back from TravelCheapie to concentrate completely on my non-virtual responsibilities.   Without going into too much detail, let’s just say that I was selected from a pool of almost 1000 of my fellow citizens to help fulfill my civic responsibility within the justice system.  The experience was EXTREMELY rewarding but both time consuming and very unpredictable – and so I felt it necessary to focus all of my energy on it rather than put in only half the effort on any one part of my life.

Needless to say, that little hiatus is now over and it’s time to get back to finding those much sought after travel deals/steals.  I suppose the Cyber Monday week is as good a time as ever! I hope your appetite for cheap travel has been whetted…the deals are about to pour in…stay tuned!
