Turkish Airlines (TK) have put a slew of flights on sale from New York City (JFK) to Cairo (CAI) from $559 USD.  You can always fly EgyptAir (MS) direct to Cairo from New York City for a few dollars more but we actually prefer the Turkish flights for their excellent service and food even though there is a short stop involved in Istanbul.
